When a child has been subjected to a crime, a special representative must be appointed. This is required if a guardian is suspected of the crime or if their relationship with the suspect could compromise the child’s best interests. The special representative assumes decision-making responsibilities for the child during the legal process in place of the guardian. According to the law, anyone under the age of 18 is considered a child.
As special representatives, we provide support throughout the preliminary investigation and trial. We participate in interrogations, medical examinations, and other procedures in place of the guardian, minimizing the discomfort experienced by the child.
Criminal cases involving children demand particular care and expertise. As special representatives for children, we are committed to standing up for their rights and ensuring they are protected and treated in a legally secure manner. With experience and empathy, our team handles these sensitive cases professionally and always with the child’s best interests at the forefront.
